to 30 or 40 good substantial men
we are talking of gitting up a
petition to that effect as every
man in the county is anxious that
it shall be disposed of so as to
make homes for those that want them
We all look to you to see that
the disposal of it will be so
arranged that no speculating Co
shall have a chance to appropriate
it to their special benefit. Our
state is justly excited at the
present time owing to the Eastern
news and our state Elections
it is almost impossible to say
how it will go politically the
secessionists will not poll over
8 or 10 thousand votes, but between
Conness & Stanford it will be closer
