Everybody loves him who always wears a
Smile & a cheerful face. A mild word
will drive away the blackest cloud –
& a cheerful Speech – be it sensible without – invest
one with a charm –. Bless others – bless selves.

4 They are trusty weapons –

Can not be broken – nor foiled.
May be relied on to every extent.
None can find fault with them.
(Don't know when defeated) – –

Admire great men – yes often envy them.
But all can be k [kind] – & not be envied

5. The founder & Xny [Christianity] whose Spirit we
sh'd [should] have nobly exemplified then.
Jesus was tender-hearted – Rejoicing
with them that rejoiced weeping with them that
wept –. When reviled he reviled
not again – &c [etc.]. Answering always
wisely & well. He even rebuked anger –
No haste was in his Spirit – even
