IV How is mor. [moral] con. [conscience] to be cul-
-tivated in the Soul?

1 Must have a heart – a great one.
Cultivate those feelings, Emotions, sentim-
-ents which refine, purify – ennoble.
Wh. [Which] make us men – not cravens.

2 By due reflection on the nature &
tendences of wr. [wrong] & rt. [right] actions respectively
Stretching the soul to its own vast-
-ness, & grandeur, & destiny.

3 By filling the mind with good-
-ness, – being good – doing good for
the sake of God & gooness [goodness] ~
By Cultivating faith, confidence,
trust – hope in God. Making
the idea of a present God familiar.
