"Charity never faileth; but whether &c. [etc.] –

Already contemp. [contemplating] the beautiful
Setting forth of the Neces. [Necessities], Nature,
& Power of Charity = true love –

Come now in these last verses
to consider its permanence – &
the excellency & desirableness of it –
as drawn from this permanency ~

Other gifts of the Spirit hereto-
fore alluded to are temporary in
their objects & ends – these accomplished
they may well cease – fail – vanish away.
But not so love – -------
