"Take heed & beware of Covetousness;
for a man's life consisteth not in the a-
-bundance of the things which he possesseth."

The radical sin is Selfishness.
Mark – I do not say self-love – but
Selfishness – i.e. [that is] – inordinate Self-love.

Selfishness take [takes] on many forms –
and diversities – & is varied by means
& ends.

I Covetousness = Selfishness in
one form – That of desiring worldly
possessions beyond due bounds –
or, Inordinate love of wealth.
