except he strive lawfully" ~
~ [centered]

Originally addressed to Tim. [Timothy], as
a preacher of the gospel – as one
who would by faithful labors
gain an unfading crown – if
he lawfully strove ~

Paul was familiar with Grecian
life – bro't [brought] up among them – So
was Tim. [Timothy] – one of his Parents
was a Greek. Hence T. [Timothy] w'd [would]
