Soon people be afraid to come –
given over to destruction.

Let us be thankful that God has
scourged us so little in proportion to
our guilt.

Let us repent of & forsake our ways
of folly – selfishness & sin – & earnestly
labor & pray for the good of all around us.
Our safety rests on faithful praying men.

Let us so act toward sufferers – that we as they shall
long remember this calamity – not wholly with regret.
