Romans 5:8 - [centered]

"But God" [centered]
"Commendeth his love towards us, in
that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us."

~ [centered]

The greatest proof of love among men
is that one shall be willing to die for
his friend – But God has thrown
all such love into eclipse by giving his
Son for his enemies – & C. [Christ] by suffering
death in their behalf.

We do not design to dwell on the
greatness of this love – as to regard
it as our example of the kind of love
wh. [which] God has for men ~
