6. Selfishness is slow to admit that the
prayer of Aqui [Aquinas] is the proper prayer – or
that the Savior spoke true when he said –
"It is more blessed" &c. [etc.] – but it is true
in God & Angels & man – God only ab-
-solutely gives – but men may know the
blessedness he has, in some small degree.

My hearers, are we thus living & acting?
Do we labor as for God? – If we have
to spare is it our first inquiry to Know who
need? – Do we ask God what shall we do
with it?

Oh, for a generation of young men
& women – setting out in life – to labor & toil
with this heavenly Spirit – believing the Savior.
Oh, for one ch. [church] that practically lived up to
this teaching: – A blessed Church – a blessed
generation.
