To this some are by nature & study
& habit adapted.
It well becomes them – & they
it – & they adore the pleasant paths
of learning – & gather in the wisdom
of the world, & garner up its mental stores.
II What one may not do
under the rule.
1 May not violate the commands
of God – in letter, or Spirit ~
No man must take this liberty – it be-
-comes him not. It is an ugly thing.
2 May not do right things in a wrong
way.
This is unseemly & to be
regretted. No sadder thing, which
is not vile sin, ever happens.
