2 As in the sight of God – providing
for honest things – we shall obtain –

(a) His favor & blessing on our
own persons. An honest
heart is like his own. He treats his it as his
own – it is blest forever more.

(b) His guardianship over all our
laudable enterprises.
"Except the Lord doth build the house &c [etc.]."
What God does not keep is left a
prey to all forms of Evil.

He loves to help on every great
& good & noble thing wh. [which] honest
men undertake in his name.

(c) His protection of society – the pros-
-perity He is able to bestow.
An honest, God-fearing, people can not
but prosper – God will not permit
any other result. It will be a lasting
good, too, down children's children ~
