Such a man reverses the natural pro-
-cess – turns in on himself like a
wreath of smoke – & vanishes into
air – or goes out of sight like a recent
patent Locomotive consuming even his
own smoke.

Men are made to seek & to act.
To go out of themselves for something
from themselves to construct something.

Intelligence is instinctively constructive.
It is the law of rational beings to
work out something – to bring to pass –
to mould – to frame – to fashion –

I See this law demonstrated in
the works of Creation & Prov. [Providence] ~
Worlds & systems are forms in wh [which]
the Divine nature has exhibited
