II But a companion of fools
shall be destroyed.

(a) What is it to be a companion
of fools?

1 Not to live among them ~
For then must one ye be in an evil
condition – "must ye, needs go out
of the world." May have them as
neighbors – & treat them well;
without – loving their
sin. Ought to make
such things to be of use to Cs [Christ's] cause ~

2 Not to associate with them in
the ordinary business of life ~
Men as men are to justly esteemed. We
are not to disregard any man's claims.
Can approve business transactions without
endorsing – a man's wrong principles, views,
or character ~
