II How do we learn that God is
a Spirit?

(a) – He can not be material – for he
is infinite – & infinite would fill in-
-finite space & either creation or motion
w'd [would] be impossible ~

(b) He can not be a mere portion
of the world – diffused through
all its patrs [parts] & one with it – for
that w'd [would] destroy both his personality
& identity both of which belong to
the notion of Spirit.

1 But God is a Spirit – for
he is Omnipotent.

But power
resides in Spirit & not in matter.
The Soul acts & not matter or body
