how much phys. [physical] beauty could be
produced – nor how many
human creatures – for wastes &
deformities might have been diminished
& the Earth made much larger.

Can not reconcile ourselves to
all the destructions, wastes, deform-
-ities – decay – & death we see –
but on the ground of their
necessity for some good end
– their moral uses.
