so wings its way across the
weariness and woe, the decays and
the wastes of what is known as time.

And thus, not only from the
ranks of the poor, the unfortunate,
the deceived, the wronged, the
misled, the defeated, and amazed,
come words of discouragement
and plaints of woe, but even
from the most favored of the sons
of men, and from the highest places
of the land, issue the murmur
of the heart, and the confession
of the life, to swell the sound of
the world's strange discontent.
