Accordingly, from the thought-

the pure, the clear-headed and the
true-hearted, come regretful com-
-ment, biting satire, and winged words of
every sound, whose strain is dissonant,
aggravating all the other notes of our discontent.
All other ills are tolerable if they can
be escaped at the door of home; and
nothing can be long endured
which can not be always and
readily so escaped.
