Our moral freedom arises from
the constitution of our being, and
is in the nature of a boon and not
a bane, a privilege and not an im-
-position. We have no more to say
in regard to its possession, than we
have in regard to existing at all.

The power, and the opportunity to ex-
-ercise the power, are our heritage.
Yet, large as this freedom is, in one
aspect of the matter, it is well
to consider under what limitations
we exercise even our moral freedom.
We are not at liberty not to choose.
