So we are beings of precedent
and shapers of destiny, both for
ourselves, and for others, so far
as our conduct molds the
influences under which they
shape the manner of their action.
And we establish the precedent
likely to be followed, except
by supernatural intervention,
very early in our career; and
the early and lofty exercise of our
freedom is such that it stays
and limits the activities of all
the after times – holding them, if right,
unto an Eternal righteousness.
