II Epistle to the Corinthians (no. 1 Reg. [Regular] Skels. [Schedule])
10:4 ~
[centered]

"(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty thro. [through] God to the pulling down
of strongholds:)"

In his own time G. [God] made the world, & man. For good reason he suffered sin to occur.
Men enter on their probation under such influences & in such a state that they will invari-
-riably [invariably] become sinners against God. They do become so – they are so. Yet they might
have done otherwise – might have done as God wished them. Had light – but
to take away all excuse – G. [God] devised a plan adequate for all – efficacious,
accessible, glorious! We enter on our probation in good circs [circumstances].

But to begin a new life after having sinned – ingraft a new price.
& to lead a holy life on Earth involves active, diligent, earnest effort.
toil, self-denial. To extend the sway of right principles & vital piety
over the community & abroad in the Earth demands the sacrifice of
laborious zeal – & strong-hearted determination, & anxious endeavor ~
