II From the constitution of our Being.

Men willingly admit all this in the law of our physic. [physical] beings –
& in respect to this life. But when men represent results of action &
all evil as confused to this world – they spk [speak] what they know not; &
forget man is under mor. [moral] law, sustains mor. [moral] relations – performs mor. [moral]
actions. Death changes not laws & relations – so results of actions will
leap beyond the grave. Same law there same mor [moral] Govt [Government] ~

We are conscious of law that binds us – we feel its emottions [emotions]
within us. We know good from evil; are prompted to do
the one not the other. This is the law of a mor. [moral] being – it is
a Command from God. It implies power & right in Him
to exact obed. [obedience], & punish disobed. [disobedience] here or anywhere.

Many evidences against one attempting crime – mostly from
within him. When done – how he feels! But results are
not confined to place. Follow around the world. If it may
stretch out its hand over seas & mountains – may it not over the
narrow grave & sieze [seize] on its victims there? Should not the
transgressor turn pale as he flies into eternity? Will G. [God] change
his conduct – or the laws of our being, or our moral nature? if not
then – Whatsoever a man soweth &c [etc.]

III From the Declarations of the S. S. [Song of Songs] ~ "Job 6:8. They that plow
iniquity, & sow wickedness reap the same." Prov. [Proverbs] 22:8. He that soweth iniquity
shall reap vanity, & with t. [the] rod of his anger he shall be consumed." – Ye have plowed iniq
wickedness; ye have reaped iniquity "Hos. [Hosea] 8:7. For they have sown the
wind – and they shall reap the whirlwind." Who shall render
to every man according as his work shall be – To them who by
patient continuance in well-doing &c [etc.]
