one in the production of phenomena,
but is a pantheistic theory, neverthe-
-less, with much of the grossness of
such a theory sifted out. It was
this style of Pantheism of which the
German philosopher Hegel [Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel] was a
very distinguished advocate, and ex-
-ponent; and this, it is understood,
is the general theory held by such
men as Emerson [Ralph Waldo Emerson] & his school in
