The women also know the art of knitting for
which they use a little piece of wood [wrd crossed out]

crochee needle. They often knit little
bags very neatly, also a sort of band to
be tied around the face

this they also click the yellow [word crossed out] topknot
feathers of the white cocatoo as a remedy.
Another they knit to serve as a kind of
girdle round the loins. Also a kind
of cap for a head-dress. Their oppossum
cloaks are usually marked at the
inside with cuts running cross ways
which when painted with red or yellow ochre
does not [indecipherable].
The chief ornament they use is the
cuts on the back & chest. They
lacerate with any pointed edge of
a stone or if they can get glass certain
lines parralell.. This they [word crossed out] rip up
again & again till at last they raise
