Friday the 19th June 1857 Commenced plowing our
corn tho 4th time in the corner by JaTenes + finished it and
the Hog fat to day getting very dry cool + windy for 3
days past

Saturday the 20th June 1857 plowing to day in the cord
field the 4th time the corn is verry small not quite knee high
on an average we shall have to plow it once more

Monday the 22nd June 1857 Commenced
neowesting to day Cut people Straw,
wheat until noon + stoped it was Too green
we sowed 50 Acres in white wheat + 20 in purple
straw the white wheat has a great many
heads without any grains in them but the
grain is verry what There is of it and
in good land I never saw better wheat
grow out of the ground but in poor land
shouty land the white wheat will not de
I like the purple straw better we sowed oats
too thick but it is verry good
plowed in the Cassel field in the afTernoon
Dry + cool

Ruesday the 25 June 1857 plowed until noon
+ then cut wheaT

Wednesday The 24 June 1857 cut wheat all day
cool + dry

Thursday the 25th June 1857 but our premeam Acre
of Wheat (purple straw) are bad 64 Day + thick it
wich make 41 Bu it would of made 45 or 50
Bu had not been for A masking rain last face
just after it was sowe that weuh two gully
through the whal length of it + washed up
a great deal of it we cut with a reaper
warmer

Friday the 26 June 1857 plowed a while n
the morning + Them Cut wheat
verry warm + Dry The oaTs is burning up
verry fast
