all the week a little thunder shower [this]
afternoon but not much rain after night
then it rained a good seaso[] but 45 [hog]
to butter feeding [] new corn they are small

Monday the 21 Sept 1857 [] plows [] other
[] commenced cutting off corn

today it rained a good season in the

Ive sawed about 5000 bundles []
and cut the tops off of about 40 acres
of corn
