hands hoeing + replanting [dots] went to work
today quite warm in the morning

Thursday the 27th May 1858 finished crop plowing
the fulford field today frank started back to chapel hill
to graduate be back in 10 days

Friday the 28th May 1858 crop plowed the dierry orchard
corn + commenced in the barn field pots at home
today wife sick

Saturday the 29 May 1858 plowed until noon
+ there the negroes uplanted their corn
cloudy + cool

Monday the 31st May 1858 plowed all day crop
plowing the barn field cleared off warm + verry
dry our oats is inguring verry fast

Tuesday the the 1 June 1858 plowed with 6 plows
crop plowing in barn field hoed our potatoes
in the Late[rn] garden

Wednesday the 2nd June 1858 run 4 plows crop
plowing one hand plowing sugar cane + two
hands worked the ditch cleaning the mud out
warm + dry oats suffering verry much

Thursday the 3rd June 1858 worked as
yesterday still dry + warm

Friday the 4 June 1858 finished crop
plowing by noon in afternoon [] + hoed
sugar cane at night it rained a nice
showers wet the ground 2 in
Sold 2 milk cows today one to Lynch
for $15 + one to Logan for $25.00
Lilly - little negro child died today
it was 10 days old
