Wheat by noon today had both wheat rooms
full + cleaned up 96 Bushels we have made
over 8 [] bin wheat this year all purple straw
except 9 Bu of red may wheat
In the evening we halled 4 loads of Hay we
cut last saturday Jerry, Mary +child 4 mo old
did this afternoon (boy) savy [] []
started to granboy school

Thursday the 29th July 1858 moved today
finished the mud road meadow +
commenced by the shop verry warm + the
hay cures fast enough to hall in the afternoon

Friday the 30 July 1858 mowed in shop
meadow all day verry warm +dry

Saturday the 31 July 1858 mowed in shop medow +halled in hay in afternoon
very warm + dry thr 93

Monday the 2nd August 1858 verry warm
yesterday ther 96 at 3 oclock (sunday)
mowed in shop meadow until noon we
finished + went to the cassel Meadow
very dry +warm ther 95 deg at 3 oclock
sowed a small patch of trunip seed to dry
in potato patch by the gate
got 16 [] loads of hay off of the shop
meadow all with out [] it

Tuesday the 3rd August 1858 Mowed in the
cassel meadow all day with 5 hands
+ halled hay with the others
verry dry+hot ther 97 deg hotest
day this summer so far
finished mowing the cassel meadow
made 7 large + hours loads of hay on it
