Monday the 27th Sept 1858 got lunch from
the North +find we have had no rain
yet + no land broke for wheat been
cutting tops pulling fodder + to day we
finished halling up the pea vines
we cut off 35 acres of corn + 35 acres
pea vines quite cool + some slight
frost done no injury

Tuesday the 28th sept 1858
cutting + halling wood out of the field
East of the meadow + filling up some blind
ditches in the same field making
syrup

theursday the 7th octr 1858 no rain yet cany
plow or sow wheat commenced gathering
the corn in the Antiou field to day
still making Syrrup

Sasurday the 9th oct 1858 finished gathering the
corn in the artou field ive made something
more than 300 BU on 40 acres not quite hald a
crop cool + dry some frost this morning

Sunday the 10th octr 1858 quite a FROST this
morning killed pea and potatoe vines + tobacco

Tuesday the 12th Octr 1858 tained last night + to
day a tolerable SEASON the first we have
had since the 12th of July
this was the day for the David CO ag society
to hold its 3rd fair but the rain prevented
the people from comeing in there was verry
few in attandance
