Wednesday the 13th Octr 1858 commenced saving
Wheat today in the cassel field we sow
the wheat on Octr, [] + plow it in earth
hald should and harrow it
we have not turned any [] for
wheat this fall it was too dry

Thursday teh 14th Octr 1858 Run 5 plows sowing
Wheat + one harrow ground sugar cane with
the oxen some frost this morning

Thursday the 14 octr 1858 worked as yesterday
stout frost this morning

Friday the 15 octr 1858 worked as yesterday
put up 31 hogs to fatten we have 11 in
the pen that are fat now making in all
42 hogs thou we put to day are small
but in good order + thrifty + think will
fatten fast finished making syrrup today

Saturday 16 oct 1858 worked as yesterday

Monday the 18th Oct 1858 sowed wheat
+ shucked corn ground verry dry

Wednesday the 20 oct 1858 finished sowing
the cassel field in wheat we sowed
26 Bu purple straw wherat on 40 acres
it is not half plowed in + will alot make
half a chop of wheat the ground was
verry hard + we sowed the wheat down
on oats plubble with out breaking +
plowed it in with half shovel
[] [] rotation made about 40 Bu in all

Thursday the 21 oct 1858 got 10 1/2 BU
winter oars + commenced sowing
it in the cherry orchard some of the hands
are pulling corn taht we cut off + halling up the
fodder running 5 plows + the harrow sowing oats
