Wednesday the 3rd Novr 1858 too wet to sow wheat
finished shucking + houseing our corn made
a verry short crop about 1000 Bu oz 115
of sand 1/3 of a crop

Thursday the Novr 1858 commenced sowing
wheat in pump field [] break the ground
with 2 horse plows sow the wheat + harrow it
in we are sowing 10 Bu Walker wheat in
the upper part of the field the hallower in
Red may wheat run two harrows + three
turn plows

Friday the 5th Novr 1858 plowed and sowed wheat as
yesterday cloudy and rained some but not enough
to stop us from work the little hand are grabing
up stumps in the field where we are sowing wheat

Saturday the 6th Novr 1858 worked as yesterday
plowing + sowing wheat cleard off somewhat
cool slight frost not enough to kill anything
but the tenderest vegetation
Bought 6 mo old mule of AJ [] for $40

Monday the 8th Novr 1858 worked as we did
last week plowing + sowing wheat in the pump
field + digging up stumps
[] cool + some what [blustry] today

Tuesday the 9th Novr 1858 plowed + sowed wheat
in the pump field as yesterday quite cool
some frost this morning
Wednesday the 10th Novr 1858 finished
sowing wheat today in the pump field
which all the wheat we expect to sow this fall
we sowed 34[] bu wheat arhur field of 35 A
+ we sowed 26 1/2 Bu purple straw wheat []
cassel field of 40 A making 61 Bu wheat sowed
[] 75 acres of land the pump field is put in
the best I have ever sowed a field of wheat
