drying up the mud verry fast halled wood + []

Tuesday 22 Feby 1859 verry fine drying weather
Commenced plowing today for the first time
with 4 turn plows in the field south of house
halled manure with ox cart + 2 mules

Wednesday 23 Feby 1859 plowed + halled manure
as yesterday fine weather

Thursday 24 Feby 1859 a verry fine day planted
3 Bu Irish potatoes run 4 plows + 2 wagons
halling manure in the garden lot verry warm

Friday 25th Feby 1859 commenced raining last night
+ rained until noon then slacked off + we
thrashed out our seed oats 53 Bu of poland
oats commenced raining again in the evey

Saturday 26 Feby 1859 rained all last night
and until 9 oclock + stoped + blowed off
warm ground verry wet
choped in afternoon

Monday 28 Feby 1859 cleared off yesterday warm
ground too wet to plow trashed our rye +
cleaned it up made 30 Bu rye last year we
halled rocks + put under the fence in hallow towards
the creek

Tuesday 1st March 1859 Feby is gone and we done
but little owrk we had no verry cold weather a
great deal of rain + mud plowed but three
days this year
Today we ditched + halled rock as yesterday
