Tuesday 14th Jan 1862 Rained Hailed & Snowed
last night still hailing this morning done no
work out to day

Saturday 18th Jan 1862 been thrashing oats chopping +
halling wood the weather moderate + fine for work

Monday 20th Jan 1862 ran two turn plows + two
Subsoil plows in Cherry Orchard plowing where
we fattened our hogs Healled rails + made fence
between me + Frank quite worn to day
in the evening had thunder Shower some rain
+ had wind stoped our plowing for a day or two

Friday 23 Jan 1862 Rain Hail Snow + Sleet to day
then 36 nearly all day a very disagreeable day
Thrashed oats in Barn we have been cutting
+Healling wood for 3 days past

Saturday 1 Fery 1862 been warm + Rainy
for two weeks past been choping + halling wood + c

monday 3 Febry 1862 yesterday was a cool cloudy
day + at night it Rained + Sleeted some Also
a light Snow fell not enough to cover
the ground This morning continued raining
again Rained all day warm

Saturday 8th Febry 1862 been raining nearly all
the week done but little work out Cleared up
wheat in Barn very warm wether buds
begins to swell plenty of flowers in garden
for the last two weeks such as crocuses daiseys
+c Cleaned up 245 Bu Wheat

Tuesday 11 Febry 1862 Commenced plowing at noon
to day in cherry orchard with a Turn plow
+ a subsoil plows windy + warm Drying weather
