Gentlemen:

We your Committee on Streets & Alleys, to whom was referred
the matter of opening Laurel Street, Eastward from Hemphill Street
beg leave to relort:

That since the last meeting of the Council, and without confer-
ence with your Committee, the owners of the property necessary to
opening siad Street has made arrangements to build a house thereon.

Upon receipt of this information we instructed the City Attorney
to at once commence condemnation proceedings looking toward acquiring
the property.
