[Theebine].

The name of a Railway junction on the North Coast
Railway. The name is derived from dhilbvine (i as in wine), one of the
natives' names for the lung-fish, ceratodus.

It is claimed by some to be of Kabi, ([Mary River]) origin,
but a Kabi, ([Mary River]) native known to me, called the fish
jalla,or dhallar. I believe that Dhilbvine is a Wakka
([Burnett River]) word.
