Dear sir,
Differing materially from a
large proportion of the Directors of the
Hiwassee rail road in the [illegible]
proposed for the construction of the road,
I consider it my duty to tender to you
my resignation as a member of that
board that you may have an opportunity
of appointing some one to represent the
state whose influence will be felt
in the board, or whos opinions may in
some degree, correspond with those of
the present members
