Mr. Pinchower of his indebtedness. Secretary
made a verbal report of the finances.
It was ordered that a balance sheet should
be submitted to the Trustees. Next in order
was the application for Chazzan, Shochet and
Teacher, one applicant only, the application
of the Rev. M.R. Cohen was read
and was moved that the application
shall be received which was carried,
and was then moved and seconded that
we suspend with the rules and the Rev.
M.R. Cohen to be elected by acclaimation.
The rules were suspended, and the Rev.
Gentleman was unanimously elected
for six months at a salary of $100 per month,
to commence from the first of November.
The Congregation gave power to the Trustees
for them to appoint a Collector at a monthly
salary of $10 -- Mr. J. Bremer made a
motion that all members of this Congregation
sending children to the Hebrew School
shall pay one dollar a month and
a school fund be opened and for the
money that will come in, a room
shall be engaged and fitted up in a
proper manner. The motion was
seconded and carried. It was also
ordered that the president shall appoint
School Commissioners, the following
gentlemen were appointed
D.L. Berwin
H. Morris
L. Jacob
Lewis Levy

It was moved and seconded that the President
appoint a committee to go out and to collect
the outstanding debts due to this
Congregation, Mr. Elkus, J. Bremer
and J. Benhayon were appointed
