Sacramento, April 26, 1862

A regular meeting of the congregation
"Bnai Israel" was held. D. Kohn
presiding. The minutes of last meeting
were read and approved. Applications
for membership were received from
Mr. A.P. Craner, M. Newmark, J. Gross,
W. Harris and B. Alexander and were
severally balloted for and elected.

On motion of B. Kosminski, P.N. Aronson
was elected an honorary member of
this congregation. The resignation of
D. Hesse, Esq. was on motion accepted.
The Secretary's Annual report was
read, received and placed on file.
On motion a vote of thanks was
unanimously tendered to Mr. Zekind,
late secretary, for the manner he
discharged the duties of his office.

On motion the meeting proceeded
to the nomination and election of
officers for the ensuing term.

Mr. G. Aronson placed in nomination
L. Elkus Esq. for president and on motion the
rules were suspended and Mr. Elkus
elected by acclamation. Mr. A. Levy
nominated A.P. Craner, Esq. as Vice President
who was elected unanimously.

B. Kosminski, Esq. placed in nomination
for Secretary P.N. Aronson who was also
elected by acclamation. Nominations
for treasurer being next in order, the
following gentleman were nominated.
W. Harris, H. Newmark, C. Klopstock.
C. Klopstock having received a
majority of all the votes cast was
duly declared elected treasurer
for the ensuing term. Messrs. A. Levy
B. Kosminski, J. Harris, H. Whitkowski
were nominated for trustees. Messrs.
