Sacramento, July 13th, 1872

A special meeting of the board
of offers was held at G. Haines
office. L. Elkus president in the chair.
At roll call B. Kozminsky noted absent.

The president stated this meeting was called
for the purpose of receiving bids for fixing
the Synagogue and plans and specifications.
Mr. Bennett the architect was present. He
read the specification. The Secretary read
bids from James O'Neil for $1710.00
also from Heinenger & Coots for 1646.50.

Mr. Heinenger & Coots bids were the [??lowest]
on motion their bid was received and
adopted by the Board of Officers.

A bid was read from O. Schrader
for decorating the synagogue with
distemper paint for the sum of $400.00. [See Note]
This being the only bid on motion
the same was accepted by the board.

On motion the president was otherwise
to contract for a skylight for ventilation
the sum not exceeding 75.00 and the
plans to be drawn by the architect Bennett.

On motion the specification of architect
Bennet was accepted.

On motion the president was empowered
to have everything [??first] appertaining the synagogue
to correspond with the building.

On motion, Mr. Bennet the architect
was allowed five per cent from the full
amount.

On motion the board
adjourned.
