On motion the board of officers
have full power to act in conjunction
with the board of officers of the H.B.S.
to elect a Shames and Collector.

On motion this congregation elect
chazzan, teacher and Shochet
for 3 years from the expiration
of Rev. H. Loewenthal.

Application was read from Rev.
H. Loewenthal he wishes to serve
as chazzan, teacher. Shochet.

On motion of M. J. Levison
that this congregaton elect Rev.
H. Loewenthal for 3 years at
$100.00 per month. amemded by G. Haines
for 1 year, substuted by J. Davis
for 2 years. The substitution and
amendment both were lost and
the original motion prevailed
and Rev. H. Loewenthal was
declared duly elected as chazzan,
teacher, Shochet for 3 years from
the expiration of his term
at $100.00 per month.

On motion the secretary was instructed
to notify Rev. H. Loewenthal of
his election.

The president ordered a fine
of $2.50 against Mr. M. Joseph
for misconduct.

The following resolution was offered
by Mr. S. Zekind:

Resolved
that the board of officers have
no authority to expend moneys
belonging to this congregation for
carriages or other funeral expenses
of any kind. On motion this was adopted.

No further business, the meeting adjourned.
