The preparation of these teachers would lend to the offering of three degrees, namely: A. B., B. S. and B. S. in Commerce. Sinoe it is de-sirable that a teacher be prepared to teach in two fields, the major and minor groupings as now outlined for the A. B. and B. B. degrees might well be followed. Slight modifications in those requirements could be made from time to time as experience and good educational practice would warrant. For the preparation of any high school teacher graduation from a standard four year college will be: required. The minimum academic credit for the teaching of any subject will be:
1. For English ........................... 24 semester hours
This should include
a. Grammar, Composition and Rhetoric
b. American Literature
c. English Literature

2. For Latin................... 24 semester hours
Based on two units of entrance to be reduced six semester hours for each additional unit of entrance credit.

3. For French...................... 18 semester hours
Based on two units of entrance credit. If no entrance credit is presented, the applicant must have 24 semester hours, or 10 hours beyond Elementary French.

4. For Science ............................. 30 semester hours

This should include

a. Biology
b. Chemistry
c. Physics
d. Geography

A certificate to teach anyone Science may be secured by pre-
senting a minimum of 30 semester hours in Science, including
a major in the particular science in which a certificate is
desired.
