Each student in the college and Normal classes has
already received a personal report of his or her quarter's work on
blanks of the following forms. A duplicate copy of this report is to be
sent to the parents of each student.
***************************
Each month a report is published for each class in the
institution showing three divisions of the class.
1. Satisfactory students (group I ) ( B or above)
2. Passing students (group II ) ( C to B-)
3. Failing students (group III) (C- and below)
This report is published to acquaint each student with which group of
students he or she is associated. It also causes the teachers to
mark students at frequent intervals.
****************************
The normal classes have succeeded very well in their
work. Only in one case has any one student failed to pass in the
majority of subjects taken. Inez Hardy did not do satisfactory work,
but illness was the cause.
****************************
I am of the opinion that a morerigid application of
rules regarding college privileges for students not passing each
month would aid in increasing the amount of study done by those students.
We may well conclude that the quarter's work has been
as satisfactory as might be expected for the first. All indications are
toward a more successful one to follow.
