G. Girls' dormitory -2. I am at a loss to know just what to state concerning this building, but to make it safe for occupancy for the next two years, it will be necessary to expand at least $1,000.00, possibly less, will take care of this situation and make this building both safe and habitable for the next two years.
I am desirous to stating at this time that the administration building, dining room, and kitchen are now completed, and the auditorium will be ready for occupancy not later them Wednesday, April 1.
It was necessary that I obtain the services of a practical builder to go over these buildings with me to check my measurements and findings. This gentleman, Mr. C. R. Phillips. who has been one of the loading carpenters in the city of Durham for a number of years was employed as it was impossible for me to obtain the services of your building inspector.
The fire chief, Mr. Bennett will complete his examination with me when the auditorium is finished, and I will have him to make out his report to you and the other members of the Board after he has examined the electrics wiring and new roof construction at the auditorium.
