It is hardly fair for me
to tell you this as the roar-
ing and frying in my
head has no doubt blunted
my hearing; other people
heard.

The weather at present
is so cool and so beautiful
that it is mere pervesity
to be sick here. The few peo-
ple that are at home are well.
About a hundred have
gone to Europe, hundreds to the
sea and the lakes. —With
