To the Honerable County Court of Shelby County
In pursuance of the within writ and under
authority vested in us, the undersigned
commissioners, we certify and report to said
Court that being first duly sworn we in
our proper persons did go to and upon the
tract of land within mentioned which upon
a resurvey was found to contain 960 Acres of
Land and respect being had by us to quantity
and quality, we did allot and set off to the
said Barthena Ozley late widdow and relict of
Eli Cost Decd. Two hundred acres of said land
bounded as follows that is to say commencing at
A rum s. to B 4. outs. from B. west to C. 4 outs - from C. south to D.8 outs from
D East to E8 outs. fro E North to F 12 out & clase. at A.containing 80 200.Acrs
N.B. the E and W lines at 3 º variation North & South 5º variation
in which third part of said tract of land
taking into consideration quantity and quality
we have comprehended the dwelling House &
offices & out buildings of the said Eli Cost decd.
all of which we allot and set off to the said
Barthena Ozley (widdow &c ) for her Dower or
third part of the within described tract of
land and of which we have put her in
possession . August 14th 1846
