Adjourned meeting as per adjournment of the meeting of July 8th.
Board met at 11 A.M. being called to order by Bro Dockery, who is elected President pro tem.
Bro. Lynch leads in prayer.
Minutes of meeting of July 8th, 1907 are read and approved.
Members Presesent: Dockery, Lynch, Bailey, Broughton, Johnson, Royall, Timberlake, Ally Jones, Battle, Ferrell, Oates, Hunter, Pres. Poteat, Benson Eam-Shaw, Vann, Tyree.
Dr. Poteat states to the Board that Mrs. James F. Parrott of Kinston authorized him to say that shw would donate to the College a piece of real property located in Kinston, N.C. said to be worth $25,000.00, conditioned as follows:

She will donate to the college a portion piece of property
(1)That the property be used by the trustees in the erection of a dormitory at the College in memory of her father, Mr. Jesse Jackson, one of the first students of the College, and (2)That the Trustees guarantee to her the payment during her life time of an annuity of $1250."
Moved that we tender President Poteat an expression of our gratitude and congratulations when recieving the gift from Mrs. Parrott. Adopted.
Moved that a suitable tablet be placed in the Jesse Jackson memorial stating the name of the donor, etc. Adopted.
Moved that we gratefully accept the gift of property in Kinston N.C. tendered by Mrs. Jacob F. Parrott, with conditions named above: Adopted.
