much dear May, it means
you are confiding to the best
and truest friend and
helper, that a mortal being
can have, and the oftener
you talk with Jesus, the nearer
He comes till at last you
feel you could not exist
without His sustaining power
Do try it dear May. Learn to
lean on Him and all the
trials, crosses, sorrows of
Earth are borne with a sense
of gladdness, feeling that Earth's
pleasures are so transient
so incomparable to the life
we shall enjoy beyond this.
Think what a power you
could be amid the young
of our beautiful State -
what a power with Tim, and
your darling child, all have
souls that need awaking

and if you could be the means to do this
work, what a life would be yours, what an
example among your young friends. You are
unique and exceptional now, in your dignified
your circumspect devoted attentions to husband
child and home. Go another round higher
and lift them up to a spiritual sense of their
obligations to a patient, tender loving Saviour
who stands ready with outstreched arms
anxious to embrace you to His heart.

and which you represent to the whole world
in which you move, if it could but have
