and perplexities attendant
upon one in your exalted
position, to take time
and thought to execute
so fine a piece of work
on porcelain, and for
one whom you have
known so short a time.
The act has awakened
sweetest thoughts. I
cannot give expression
to all I feel. Your
Mother heart has read
mine, and you have
reached out your hand.
And left this memento
with the sweet letter
which accompanied it.
I cannot take credit
for having done anything
special for you or yours,
I wish it was in my
power to do something
of value. I can tell my
precious Saviour of my
interest in having you
and your loved ones,
safely guarded through
your journeyings, that
health with its blessings
be continued, and when
lifes fitful years here
on Earth are over you
