An interesting feature of each department would be the history of the industry from its [inauguration?], - in all countries. Thus we would trace the growth of an industry from the crude methods of the savage to the present systems of the most civilized races.
I am confident that your experience will impress you with the advantage of such an Industrial Museum in connection with the Leland Stanford Jr University. Some parts of the idea are similar to the National Museum in Washington, others would be entirely new, and all would be different
