Received initial training at 158th Depot Brigade, Camp Sherman, Ohio. Shipped to France in June, 1918, for further training with the 84th Division. Transferred to 91st Division on 6 September 1918 and saw action in both the St-Mihiel (September 1918) and Meuse-Argonne (October-November 1918) offensives. Served in the Army of Occupation in Coblenz, Germany, before returning to the US for discharge on 23 April 1919.
