I enclose you
Osgoods report and also a
letter from Mr. Reid Muybridge
has commenced a suit by
attachment in Boston. Levying on
all the books and charging that
shows by the publication of the
book imagined his professional
reputation. He wants damages
to the extent of $50000 and
claims that the idea of taking
photographs of horses in motion
originating with him and not
with me and that I set up
that claim in the book

When I just spoke to
Muybridge about the matter.
He said I could not be done
